2027 Wedding Stationery Trends

2027 Wedding Stationery Trends

If you're planning a wedding for 2027, you're in for a treat! There are so many gorgeous wedding styles to take inspiration from, and I am absolutely loving the move towards beautifully romantic, decorative and thoughtfully designed details.

Think elegant fine art illustrations, intricate borders, luxurious textured papers and gorgeous floral designs. For me, the most exciting wedding stationery ideas for 2027 are all about bringing a little more personality, romance and artistry into your special day.

And while I always believe your wedding should reflect what you love rather than simply following trends, there's nothing wrong with finding a little inspiration along the way!

Here are some of the beautiful wedding stationery trends I'm particularly excited about for 2027.

1. Romantic Wedding Stationery Is Having a Moment

Romance will always have a special place in wedding design, and for 2027, I'm loving the idea of embracing it in all its beautiful detail. Think delicate florals, soft colour palettes, flowing ribbons and elegant typography.

Rather than anything too simple or minimal, we're looking towards designs that feel expressive, feminine and full of lovely little details. Beautiful garden roses, trailing botanical illustrations and delicate decorative elements are all wonderful ways to bring a romantic feel to your wedding invitations. And the loveliest thing about romantic wedding stationery? It never really goes out of style.

Whether you're planning a gorgeous English country house wedding or a beautiful celebration in the Italian countryside, this style works so wonderfully.

2. Baroque-Inspired Wedding Invitations

One of the design directions I'm most excited about for 2027 is the return of beautiful, decorative details inspired by Baroque art and architecture. If you love a little drama and grandeur, this one is for you!

Think ornate borders, intricate illustrations, elegant flourishes and beautifully detailed typography. Baroque-inspired wedding invitations can feel wonderfully luxurious, especially when paired with warm ivory papers, rich colours and carefully considered printing finishes.

But they don't have to feel overly traditional. I particularly love the idea of taking these historic decorative elements and giving them a more contemporary feel.

Imagine an intricate illustrated border paired with beautifully simple typography, or a romantic decorative design printed on gorgeous textured paper. The perfect combination of timeless elegance and something a little unexpected.

3. Fine Art Wedding Invitations

Fine art wedding stationery is another style I think we'll be seeing lots more of in 2027. And it's definitely one of my favourites!

Inspired by traditional artwork, fine art invitations often feature beautiful hand-drawn illustrations, watercolour details, delicate botanical designs and elegant lettering. There's something so lovely about wedding invitations that feel like little pieces of art.

This style is particularly beautiful for couples planning romantic destination weddings, garden celebrations or weddings in historic venues. I also love incorporating illustrations of wedding venues into fine art stationery.

Not only does it give your guests a gorgeous first glimpse of your special day, but it creates a really meaningful keepsake too.

4. Beautifully Textured Wedding Stationery

Sometimes the beauty of wedding stationery isn't just in how it looks, but how it feels.

For 2027, I think gorgeous papers and tactile details will be a particularly lovely way to add a sense of luxury to wedding invitations. Think thick, beautifully textured card, soft handmade-style papers, delicate vellum and luxurious printing finishes. These details can make even the simplest invitation feel incredibly special.

I'm especially drawn to the combination of textured ivory paper with delicate illustrations and elegant typography. It's understated, romantic and so beautifully timeless. And when your guests open their invitations, that gorgeous paper adds another lovely little element to the experience.

5. Decorative Borders and Statement Details

If there's one thing I'm loving for 2027, it's the opportunity to have a little more fun with decorative design.

Intricate borders, beautiful illustrated frames, delicate flourishes and ornamental details can all add so much personality to wedding stationery.

I'm particularly excited about designs that take inspiration from antique artwork, historic interiors and traditional decorative patterns.

These details can look gorgeous with romantic typography and soft, muted colour palettes.

And if you're planning a wedding in a beautiful historic building or grand country house, taking inspiration from the architecture and interiors is such a lovely way to create something personal.

Your wedding venue can provide so many wonderful design ideas!

6. Wedding Stationery That Feels Personal

Although trends are lovely to explore, I think one of the most beautiful directions for 2027 weddings is creating something that feels truly personal. Couples are increasingly looking for ways to make their celebrations feel unique to them, and bespoke wedding stationery is such a wonderful place to begin.

From illustrated wedding venues and personalised artwork to colours inspired by your flowers and surroundings, there are so many ways to create something special. I love the idea of wedding invitations that tell a little story.

Something that gives your guests a glimpse of the beautiful day you're planning, while incorporating details that mean something to you. And of course, these designs can be carried through to your wedding day stationery, creating a beautifully coordinated look from beginning to end.

7. Rich, Romantic Colour Palettes

While soft neutrals and delicate blush tones will always be beautiful choices for wedding stationery, I also love the idea of introducing slightly richer, more romantic colours for 2027.

Think dusty rose, antique gold, warm cream, muted olive green and deep burgundy. These colours work particularly well with fine art illustrations and decorative Baroque-inspired designs.

For something softer, a combination of warm ivory, blush pink and sage green feels beautifully romantic. Or, if you're looking for something a little more dramatic, deep burgundy paired with antique gold and luxurious ivory paper can create a gorgeous, timeless look.

It's all about finding a colour palette that feels right for your wedding.

Creating Your Dream 2027 Wedding Stationery

One of the things I love most about wedding stationery is that there are so many beautiful possibilities.

Whether you're drawn to romantic florals, intricate Baroque-inspired details, fine art illustrations or gorgeous textured papers, the most important thing is choosing something you absolutely love. Your wedding invitations are the very first little glimpse into your special day, and they should feel every bit as beautiful and exciting as the celebrations to come.
